A fire hazard is any item or ailment that may ignite, contribute to, fuel, or unfold a fire. The NFPA has made a color-coded fire hazard classification system centered about the kind of hazard and the quantity and combustibility of the hazard within a specified space. The NFPA manual is known as the fire diamond. It classifies these 4 hazard kinds:
